Look what showed up in my mail today! It’s my pouch and extra goodies from my partner (courtiepie) in the Pretty Little Pouch Swap. I really liked this one in the pictures, but it’s even better in person. It has a really nice weight to it. She must have used some really good stabilizer. There’s an outside pocket as well as an inner pocket, and my favorite part is this awesome back:
This must have taken her forever. Again, while it looks good in the picture, it’s even prettier in person.
She also sent me these cute little extras. The turtle print pouch is a wet bag. I wrote on my sign-up form that I was carrying a diaper bag right now and would be for some time, so I would be using these for baby things. The second pouch is lined with waterproof fabric for toting home wet clothes, cloth diapers, or swimsuits. I don’t use cloth diapers, but I’m always having to change an outfit due to leaky diapers or spit-up, so I’m planning to store Bennett’s extra outfit in here that way it’s all together when I need it. The turtles are really cute, too. And, finally she also sent a fat quarter of yellow chevron fabric. I love this, and it’s perfect for me because I have almost no yellow fabric on my shelf.
This was my first swap of handmade items. I’ve been in several bees, swapped fabrics, charms, etc. but have never participated in a sewing swap with a finished item at the end. I have to say, this has been a great experience. So, if you’re reading this, Courtney, thank you!! I just love it.

Oops– I realized that when I dug the label out but forgot to go fix the post. It’s changed now. And yes, I do love it, and I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of the wet bag. I wish I had had something like that a long time ago. Best wishes for your new baby on the way!
